Are you an experienced RPN or RN even a PSW looking to move your career to the next level? Are you looking to increase your skill set to specialize in Foot Care nursing? A career in the Foot Care nursing business enables you to set up a flexible full-time or part-time schedule by allowing you to set your own hours, on your own terms.

Our Foot Care Nurse (FCN) education includes “hands-on” Clinical Application together with Virtual Theory. Are you currently working in a Long Term Care facility or Doctor’s office? Maybe your career feels “stuck in a rut”. It’s time to challenge yourself in your nursing career! Whether you are new to foot care or an experienced foot care nurse, this course is designed to provide participants with the upgraded knowledge and skills necessary to function as an advanced foot care nurse within the Community. This comprehensive, advanced diabetic Foot Care program follows the current new National Standards as set out by the CAFCN in addition to evidence-based best practices.

To be eligible you must hold a valid CNO registration that is non restrictive (in good standing). Out of Province Nurses may apply for Temporary Licence while in Ontario if taking Clinical Application in Ottawa.

Must have a minimum of 2 years “hands on” experience in Nursing as a RPN or RN. (call to confirm eligibility if required)

Must show proof of Liability and Malpractice Insurance of minimum

$2 ,000,000. (RPNO is one provider option).

CLINICAL APPLICATION For Experienced Foot Care Nurses ONLY: to qualify for this portion of the course you must have previously and successfully obtained comprehensive theory certification from an acknowledged course provider. This experience will transfer you from the clinical application into the 1 day skills portion of the training, where you will have the opportunity to practice your skills on volunteers, in accordance to the new National Standards. Total course hours: 110

NOTE : To advance from the Virtual Theory to the Clinical Application portion of the training you must obtain a passing grade.
